What is the Purchase Garden?
How would you like to grow your own food on campus? At the moment, the organic vegetable garden at Purchase College is not a reality however it's creation is underway.
The idea came from an environmentally conscious and passionate artist, musician and student at Purchase, Cristal Stevens. She was inspired by her love for nature and the idea of working together outdoors with other students and members of the community to create something that everyone can use and enjoy. Not to mention, add some visual excitement to a campus that has so much unused open space.
She has already gotten permission from the president for the garden and is looking for others who are interested in taking part in the project in any way. Select students who are committed to work on the project over the summer will be given free campus housing.

Hey everyone,
We are making some great progress with the garden and greenhouse.
Right now we are working on a grant from the PSGA which will be our source of funding for this project.
Once that is approved we will start to build.
So we will need everyones help on that bit.
